- Lunar Tides is so consistently great. The neon colours are by far my favourite. I’ve only used the orange tones but they are so easy to apply and have the best pay off!!
- I purchased the Siam orange and I love how it turned out, but I will say my turned a lot more red with this colour so if that's what not what you want go for a pure orange.
- I love it, I’ve been using lunar tides for 2 years now in a variety of colours the lychee pink is my favourite I’m about to get it all over after currently having periwinkle, plum and fuchsia pink streaks on my pre lightened hair, it goes on easy, best done on damp hair the mixture goes quite far too it’s very conditioning and hair feels very healthy after even if it’s been bleached, colour lasts quite well too, be sure to use cold water when rinsing to make the most of the brights ? very happy customer and will continue to use these wonderful dyes
- Amazing the colour is amazingly green and vibrant easy to use and apply can't wait to buy more
- Amazing the colour is amazingly green and vibrant easy to use and apply can't wait to buy more
- This is fantastic stuff. Fire opal is far more yellow than orange though. It has staying power too and has hardly faded after 2 weeks and I've actually tried to make it fade faster because I want to go another colour!
- I’ve used : citrine sea, fuchsia pink, cyan sky and solar flare. I can say that fuchsia pink was definitely the brightest and stayed the longest. I didn’t need to bleach my hair very light either, it went well on orange toned bleached hair. Citrine sea was alright but definitely needs to be on very light bleached hair. Mine was still a little orange and the yellow turned orangey. Cyan sky was also the case as the hair needs to be light for it to show up well. I now use solar flare frequently and although it doesn’t need very light hair to stick to, it does fade to a golden colour after a week. I might try out the other brands orange and see how that goes
- Easy to apply to hair and the smell was nice aswel we used fuchsia pink and definitely was bright
- This dye left my shower stained blue, had to use tough cleaners and scrub it all and then bleach to get it all off, and then it happened again the next 2 hair washes after the first rinse and it kept leaking colour so all my towels have blue on them now too. not worth the effort and mess of colour everywhere, never had this happen with any other colours ive used
- I have extremely mixed feelings on this. I purchased amethyst and used the entire pot on freshly bleached, short hair, left it in for slightly over the recommended time, and it came out more as a silver with slightly purple tones instead of as the photos described. It's a cool hair colour, I'm just disappointed that it wasn't the purple it described, and I'm not overly happy with that (I was going to buy plum for a richer colour but it was out of stock).
- I bought 2 shades of lunar tides and omg it's so hard to get out... I dropped some on the carpet and it is legit stained for life. It does note that if you buy blue based it is a color that sticks well, but with wet hair it transfers way to easily. For my own personal hair it's not all that good keeping it healthy, but that could be due to my own negligence in bleaching it. If you want a good long lasting color definitely, but wear gloves and have a strong remover for it, I had to use watered down bleach to get it off my skin it's that good.
- I absolutely love Lunar Tides! I bought Cerulean Sea as they didn't have Juniper Green and I have never loved my hair so much. The colour is amazing and was so easy to use and smells lovely. I have quite fine, thin hair so one jar was plenty for me. I will never dye my hair a standard colour again and look forward to trying other colours.
- did not work! i followed the instructions exactly but when i rinsed my hair all the colour came out even when i was told by the luna tides website and cosmic that it would stick to my hair(i have light brown hair with bleached highlights) it only barley stuck to my bleached highlights
- I was so happy with the colour it turned out it was exactly what i wanted but it all washed out immediately. I washed my hair 3 days after dying it and in 1 wash all the colour was gone
- Haven't tried it yet will buy it soon to try but don't shampoo your hair before dying it, dampen and towel dry also don't wash hair for a week after colouring, only condition you hair
- Never dissapointed, beautiful colour payoff, smells divine. Minimal dye transfer, I've only tried the jewel tones though, as to get pastel colours I would have to bleach my hair too much. Have bought repeatedly and keep going back to this brand.
- I bought the lunar white and silver lining the lunar white worked pretty good on my husbands hair though his lighter pieces picked up the purple I used the silver lining on my hair and it came out green im not impressed it advertises that it will work on light blonde hair with shows slightly yellow my hair was in between medium blonde and light blonde and its come out pea mash green im a little upset
- Loved the colour and was easy to apply but when I rinsed the dye out it stained everything purple and took a lot of scrubbing to get off
- I have tried 3 of lunar tides colours now and I have been extremely happy with the results. The colours I first purchased were blue velvet and smoky teal. I bought blue velvet as an alternative to directions midnight blue as I found that brand had a gorgeous colour but transferred everywhere. I got a very similar colour result with blue velvet and had no issues with colour transfer. I also really liked smoky teal and would often mix the two shades for customers colour combos. Both lasted really well in my hair and would fade out to a pale blue/minty green which was also really pretty. I do have prelightend ends to around a level 8-9 and the colours would show up very vividly. I have also tried the neon lime shade more recently, it did take a haircut (to remove damaged hair) and 2 rounds of bleach to get my hair light enough for this colour around level 9-10, but boy did it work! It is absolutely bright bright green and under sunlight you can see the subtle UV effect which makes the green look slightly more blue toned. I have had this colour in for around a month now (using colour protective shampoos, and limiting frequency of washes) and whilst the intensity has faded, it is still UV reactive and pretty colour accurate to its original shade, just a more pastelised version. I have overall been really happy with the performance of this brand of dye and I will be buying more of their colours. Keen to try out more of their neon range next.
- the colours beetle green and sea witch are absolutely stunning on level 9-10 bleached hair. I am so obsessed with these colours. They last long and fade evenly and into nice light pastel versions of the colour. I also had no issues with the dye staining or bleeding
- Good brand and dye
- Beautiful colour, but faded out completely within two weeks, which disappointed me greatly.
- Mixed feelings on this one.. I purchased Coral Pink. The product smelt nice and did not transfer onto my hands or shower BUT I was extremely dissatisfied with the lack of pigment. Although my hair was freshly bleached the end colour looked as if I had dyed my hair 4weeks ago and this was the faded/washed-out version. Compared to the photo, my hair turned out about a third lighter. I will not be buying this brand again because of this sadly.
- Petal pink is a bit of a weak one. May need to do twice or more for the colour they're showing. My hair is bleached quite light and it turned out very pastel and not too bright. The neons from Lunar tides are very good though.
- I bought the Iris purple and my hair is light blonde and had been bleached. It did not come out that vibrant. I use hair dyes a lot and never had any issues. This colour hardly came out in my hair and when dried it looks grey.
- Really vibrant long lasting colours, always leaves my hair feeling soft after washing it out!
- I love how every one smells so good. Always makes my hair bright and vibrant. Love this brand
- Beautiful colour and holds for a great amount of time!
- LOVE AROURA GREEN WITH MY WHOLE HEART It's so bright and lasts surprisingly well! 10/10 reccomend! I've never seen this colour look bad on anyone!!
- Bought the colour Smokey Navy to take my platinum/light brown hair down to a smokey dark colour and felt confident after seeing the included example photos of how the colour turns out on platinum hair.. After applying and leaving on for the recommended amount of time, my hair turned out to be a bright cookie monster blue, awfully far from the intended colour. Had to purchase another pack of darker box dye just to bring the colour down. If the advertised colour was the bright cookie monster blue then I would rate it highly for being a vibrant and accurate product, but instead I was falsely advertised into a colour far from what I paid for.
- Juniper Green is waaaaay brighter than I thought it would be. Even after 2 applications.
- Brought the smokey purple, my hair was probably a level 3/4 golden blonde and it didn't really go purple, more just a brownish colour with purple hues in the light. Would of been better if my hair was lighter i guess lol but anyway, it's faded quickly.
