Mexican style prayer candle with subtle clean vanilla honey scent.
320g net weight with a burn time of 45-55 hours.
20cm height, 5.5cm width.
The first burn influences the rest of the candle’s lifespan. Trim the wick to 5mm before first lighting and keep it lit until the melted wax pool reaches the edges of the jar. If you extinguish it too early, the candle will tunnel down the centre on the next burn, leaving a ring of wasted wax around the sides.
Trim the wick before each lighting. This will prevent the flame from jumping and spitting.
Don’t blow out the candle flame - dip the wick into the melted wax using a wick dipper to extinguish it, then gently push the wick upright so it is ready to light next time. This minimises smoke and preserves the ambient fragrance.
At the end - When there is 10mm of wax left in the jar, scrape out the remaining wax and put with your rubbish/landfill waste. Don't wash it out into the sink: scented wax should not get into the waterways. Once the jar is empty, wash it out using warm, soapy water then repurpose or recycle.
